MJP Bride, Ely, remembers her funniest memory of the day, “Michael cheating on the first look. Wouldn’t have expected anything less! It made that moment funny and less overwhelming!” The first look is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day. Not only does it allot more time for the reception and the party for the couple to enjoy, but it’s such a sweet and often slower moment for the bride and groom on an otherwise very busy day! It allows them to look into each others’ eyes, make silly inside jokes, breath, relax, and soak it all in. It also gives me time to capture some of the most intimate moments of the day, the memories that serve as a solidified part of the beginning of a beautiful marriage.

Ely noted, “I knew it was going to be beautiful, but with Sydney’s help and the help of family and friends, it exceeded my exceptions. [I was] almost speechless at how beautiful it turned out.” And I must agree, it was the definition of elegant and beautiful! And Sydney, owner of Chosen Event Design + Planning, was such a complete joy to work with from start to finish!

Favorite thing on the menu? “Champagne!” says MJP Bride, Ely. The champagne tower didn’t quite go as expected as you can see from Ely and Michael’s faces below, but they made the best of it and had a few good laughs. In fact, Michael said that was one of the funny memories he remembers most clearly from their day!

When asked about their favorite memories of the day and songs that stand out most in their minds, Ely and Michael both agreed, “Celebrating with everyone we love, dancing with the bridal party at the reception, getting to share our big day with Jordan, [our] bridesmaid, on her 21st birthday, [and] having a dance off to Sicko Mode with the birthday girl!”
